A Night With Neil Diamond at Alexa Park LV

ROB GARRETT’S “King of Diamonds” Las Vegas tribute show CONTINUES ON in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.

The legendary Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.

Besides being one of the biggest selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also created and performed the songs of a generation — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences throughout the world through Las Vegas entertainer Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Google “who is the top Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his idol, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In May 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, two years later, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from cover band frontman to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his musical idols.

In 1995, Garrett was selected by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a three-year success.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.

He began a steady touring schedule, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Artist reviews and ratings as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has appeared at more Vegas stages than any other.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the nation’s sole ongoing Neil Diamond tribute show.

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., near the Las Vegas Strip.
